Interesting and strange facts I have noticed about harry potter…

1. Harry have a strange speech impediment.
2. Ginny has a strange acting style.
3. In the deathly hallows most of the action happens in the second bit.
4. A group of young boys make a lot of noise in the Cinema by default, they cannot help it. And they will only shut up when a mean looking rude boy tells them “Shut up yeah” not when the sweet old lady says she has “spent her last bit of heating money to see one more film before she dies”.

At this point, you are probably familiar with the delightfully offbeat music of folks like They Might Be Giants, MC Chris, Devo, The Apples in Stereo, Jonathan Coulton and other like-minded performers. Although stylistically different, each of the aforementioned acts has a sizable fanbase that self-identifies as nerdy. These days, the word “nerd” has become so overused that it applies to any kind of obsessive: movie nerds, music nerds, comedy nerds, comic nerds, and on and on and on. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter. What’s important to remember is that everyone has a geeky side and that’s awesome.

Wavves leader Nathan William was arrested and put in jail in Germany yesterday after police found a bag of weed in his vehicle at a roadside check. He was soon released on bail.

This seems like a good opportunity to note that Wavves-branded weed grinders (pictured above) are currently on sale at his shows– pick one up today!

In a statement about the incident, Williams said, “We got stopped at a roadside check and I had six bags in the car and they only found one– the fucking dogs never work. I bet it’s high from all the fumes. Anyways, they put me in a cell which was a little nerve-wracking. More so because I was an American in a German jail and not because I have long gay hair. I did wrestle for four years in high school, so I could have fucked somebody up. So yeah, then I gave em €200 and walked out… not a terrible deal. And now I’m getting high again.”

South Park has been on for just over 13 years. It’s gone from being a cult hit to a mainstream success to what is arguably a cultural institution. It started out as a relatively simple show that featured potty-mouthed kids who found themselves in surreal situations. As the years went on, South Park increasingly focused its energies on satire and parody, winning numerous awards in the process. Okay, it’s also earned them a lawsuit this week, for their parody of the “What What (in the Butt)?” video. But we were never had that one included on this list either way!
